This policy explains the use of cookies and similar technologies on the OPTIGATE LTD website. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.

1. What cookies are

2. How we use them

This is a brochure website for an installation business. It has no accounts, no basket and no checkout, so the cookie footprint is deliberately small. We use cookies to:

• Keep the site working correctly and securely during your visit.
• Remember your cookie preferences so we do not ask again on every page.
• Understand, in aggregate, which pages people find useful — only if you have agreed to analytics.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell data collected through them.

Preference

Help us count visits and see which pages are read. These are only set if you consent, and the data is used in aggregate rather than to identify you personally.

Marketing

We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies on this site. If that changes, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested before any such cookie is set.

4. Cookies and storage we may set

The exact set depends on the final hosting and analytics configuration. This table is maintained as the site changes; if you find a discrepancy, please tell us and we will correct it.

5. Third-party services

• Web fonts — typefaces used by the site may be loaded from a font delivery service. Where this happens, the request is limited to delivering the font file.
• Hosting and CDN — our hosting provider processes server logs to deliver pages and defend against abuse.

These providers act under contract and are not permitted to use the data for their own purposes beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place lawfully.

There is no single agreed standard for responding to "Do Not Track" headers. We do not set advertising cookies regardless of the signal, and where a recognised global privacy control signal is received we treat it as a refusal of non-essential cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the technologies used on the site change. The date at the top of the page shows the current version.
